Blackwolf Frosh

The newly created Blackwolf Frosh will travel to New Haven, Connecticut next weekend for a tournament on the campus of Yale University.

Blackwolf Frosh is made up of 8th and 9th graders from Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. This will be the first tournament for the team, but not the last. They will also compete in two other tournaments over the next few months.

We will keep you posted on how the team does.

After a long week of games, Coach Trig treated the players to a BBQ out by the lake complete with cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips and s'mores.

Blackwolf Select - Championship Bound

With their two wins on Thursday, Blackwolf Select will play in the championship game on Friday against NorCal out of Northern California.

NorCal came into Thursday ranked number one, just in front of Blackwolf Select. Both teams are physical teams who have put up a lot of points throughout the week. It should be a GREAT game!

As always, the blog will be updated with scores and stats at the end of the game.

Thursday Game and Volleyball

Blackwolf will play Team Denver tomorrow at 9am.

Going into tomorrow's game, Blackwolf is the number 2 ranked team.

On another note...

The team decided to go out and relax after a long day of games by playing volleyball, coaches vs. players. The first game, the team of Sam Jones, John Morrow, Ryan Cronin and Sean Price had a nice run, going through three teams of four until the coaches came back and beat them.

All of the kids had a great time and enjoyed a little competition off the lacrosse field.

Day One

Getting ready for practice

Yes, there is still snow!!

Practice

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!

After meeting up with two of our players who were on different flights, picking up the vans, and finding out that what the van company told us would be enough room for everything, really wasn't (thankfully we have parents with us who have rented cars), and stopping for lunch, we finally made it to our hotel.

We're letting the kids relax and get settled into their hotel rooms and then we'll gather everyone up for a light practice to get them ready for this week.

Blackwolf Select Practice

Blackwolf Select will have practice on Friday, June 6 from 7:30pm to 10pm at Claude Moore Park in Sterling, Virginia.

Please do EVERYTHING you can to make sure you are there.

Blackwolf Select - First Practice May 29, 2008

The first ever practice of Blackwolf Select is in the books as a success. 20 players from 9 different schools were able to mesh together as a team after only an hour of practice.


The teams defense is looking strong and working really well together and the offense was getting a lot of looks with some hard, well placed shots on goal. All three goalies also had numerous saves between the pipes.

Coaches are very pleased with what they saw on the field after just a few hours and are looking forward to more progress over the next few weeks.
